Designed by Jane and featuring her original Biro drawings, this exquisite fine English china collection of limited edition coupe plates and mugs was originally created for her solo installation The Woodcutter's Cottage. In Homage to the Last Great Carnivores of Eurasia celebrates the beauty and majesty of threatened and endangered carnivores across the Eurasian continent, while highlighting the challenges they face in an uncertain world.
Made in Stoke-on-Trent to the highest standard by prestigious ceramic designers and manufacturers The New English, the collection includes eight coupe plate designs incorporating four diptychs paying homage to grey wolves, Amur leopards, Siberian tigers and brown bears. Elegant rimless plates measure 28cm in diameter. Each plate design is a limited signed and hand numbered edition of 200. Presented in a sumptuous black gift box to compliment the monochrome designs and beautifully hand made to order they are accompanied with a signed postcard. Plates are suitable for use or display. New to the collection are a set of six mugs which have been specifically designed as small artworks in functional form, incorporating symbolism and a 'little surprise!'
