A serene stag gazing through a forest dreams of leaping across a road but dazzled the headlights of an oncoming car it doesn't make the other side.   Black Biro drawing layers were inspired by photographs from the film A Prophet Jacques Audiard 2009. Many deer become casualties of road accidents alongside other wildlife as the car population soars. A distorted drawing of a stag's face revealing its teeth an symbolising the fragility of the victims of roadkill is layered through a drawing of leaping deer. This also echo’s the chink of china as the pen taps out ink onto the ceramic surface.
