'THE WOLF'S HOUSE', 2012 black Biro drawings and mixed media

Black Biro drawings on sanded and painted MDF, printed cotton fabric, scenic snow, plastic Russian Tank and German Infantry soldiers, plastic animals, replica Deluxe FI Hand Grenades, white enamel paint.

A representation of the iconic cuckoo clock, this piece explores the juxtaposition of man and animals suggesting the idea of the instinctive innocent nature of animals as opposed to the cerebrally processed brutality man. Soldiers fight in the snow around the Wolf's House whilst Mr and Mrs Wolf watch the grotesque carnage unfolding around them as the animals of the forest play peacefully inside the house. They are surrounded by the ever present threat from humans.
